Important Questions to Ask your Real Estate Agent

You know we're all about sharing the knowledge here at the Jurnee Luye Team, and what better way to do so than to list some important things to ask your agent before hiring them/when interviewing them!

1. How long have you been an agent?

This is important to ask because you need to know what kind of experience your prospective agent has! There's nothing wrong with going with a newer agent, it justs helps to know ahead of tim when making your decision!

2. Will you be working directly with an agent, or with a team?

You'd be surprised at how many different people can be involved in a real estate transaction! Familiarizing yourself with everyone you'll be working with during your transactions avoids any confusion later down the line.

3. How can you help us be competitive in this market?

Whether you are buying or selling, you'll need an agent who is diligent and willing to negotiate effectively on your behalf. Don't be afraid to set expectations with your agent!

4. Do you have specific business hours you abide by?

This is extremely important to know! Some agents work what seems like 24/7, while other agents have time allotted to handle clients. It also helps to know if the agent you are interviewing is a part time or full time agent! 

5. How many clients have you worked with this year/in total?

This goes hand in hand with question #1, a great agent will be transparent with you about their numbers!
